Punchdrunk: The Burnt City
Set Dresser
Punchdrunk's The Burnt City immerses audiences in a sprawling, neon-lit metropolis inspired by Greek tragedy, offering a unique and dream-like experience through free exploration of 150 rooms and self-directed encounters with physical performance, dance, sound, and light.
I contributed to shaping the audience’s self-directed exploration and immersion by translating complex design visions into practical, believable environments. This involved selecting and commissioning all set dressing and props, working with the creative and production teams to balance narrative authenticity with the practical needs of performers—helping maintain the seamless, dream-like experience across 150 unique rooms.
